Harrisons High Potency Fine Harrisons High Potency Fine is for smaller birds for example: a quaker caique or cockatiel but also recomended if: you are converting from a seed based diet, have a young bird, is moulting or has poor feather quality,is entering breeding, bird is recovering from illness, if you own an African Grey/ large Macaw or Palm or Moluccan Cockatoo as these birds do better on this diet and if your vet advises use of this formula for medical reasons. Birds should initially be fed High Potency Formula for a period of at least 6 months and also helpful for birds that are molting, overweight, underweight, particularly active housed in a cold climate recovering from an illness or affected by liver or kidney disease and that are weaning. Birds should be fed High Potency Formula 1-2 months prior to the breeding period and until chicks are weaned or for at least six months before resuming Adult Lifetime Formula, supplemental high quality vegetables and fruits that may be increased until the chicks are weaned and for each 2 Tbs (20 g) Formula add ½ (5 g) Tbs high quality (certified organic would be best) sunflower seeds.
